Focusing/Zoom ring rubber grip

Here's hoping that some of you can do a little measuring for me. I'm looking to obtain a rubber grip or two that's 60-62mm internal (probably 63-65mm external) diameter. Manufacturer's parts lists don't seem to detail the size and simply use part #'s for reference. Once I have an idea of which lens such an item is used on then I can order the bits so it'll need to be a current lens or one that's still being supported. I suspect that it'll be a typical consumer zoom (f/3.5-5.6 type) or a slower prime (f/1.8-f/2.8) based on the size of the lenses that I have.

Does anybody out there have a lens with rubber fitting the requirements?

Have you thought about adhesive tape used for cycle hand grips?
Most cycle shops sell it and obviously it can be cut to any size.
It's about £10 to £15 a roll.

I'm really trying to avoid adhesive, Ken, unless I have no other choice. I do have one zoom ring (from a very old Sigma zoom) that works well but it's very much an 80's lens and difficult to source parts for. I've also tried heat shrink but it doesn't really afford any more grip than the bare metal that it's covering. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll put it on the back burner in case I can't find the pukka part.

Don't know if this is an option but have a look at Sock Stop. It is a latex based liquid which sticks to most things and then sets into a rubbery non slip (but also non sticky) surface. It is used to provide a non slip surface to slippers made from wool. It can be applied as dots, lines, whatever pattern is needed, and might do what you need.

Ah, that deserves looking at, Dave....thanks. I'm guessing that it's not unlike the rubbery bits that adorned my goalkeeper's gloves back in the 70's (showing my age now!). I suspect that it might be just the job if applied over the heat shrink that I tried.
