Perusing a mag my eye was caught by the write up on zooms. The 55-250mm seemed good so without much thought I purchased same. Not until I arrived home and read the book I realised it was an EF-S lens and was unsuitable for my 10D and 5D cameras. No mention of this except the last paragraph which mentions a full frame camera 5D. I do have a Canon 300D so it was ok for that. Seems like many Canon cameras are now this mount. :bonk:

Erm, in fairness it does have "EFS" plastered all over the lens itself, and the box! Also EFS boxes have red ends rather than black (as per the EF lens boxes).
Doh!
