I did a course in SEO though business gateway and i think, if I remember correctly, links pages are now pretty much inefective. The way to do it now to maximise ranking is using hyperlinks from site copy. EG. you have a body of text and keywords, such as "wedding photography" would hyperlink to a wedding photographer. I think... I dont know I cant remember. Someone more SEO literate may explain better.
