Forres Woods in Autumn

Visiting Forres last week I took a short walk to see Nelson's Column. Nice walk through the autumn woods, with my Canon A590is:

Needs a bit more punch colour wise? Might be one to get canvas printed perhaps?

Possibly but I'd crop it first and look for a square shot if you're putting it onto canvas. The foreground doesn't really have much of interest in it and it looks better getting rid of it.

Thanks for the reply dod. I've cropped it into a square format, and reprocessed it to give slightly better colours (if a bit more noise?)

A bit too overprocessed perhaps?

Needs a point of interest or focal point for me.

prefer your edit, the first one lacks a bit of detail - the processing adds this and also gets rid of the bottom bit which lacks a focal point
