Found a 200mm VR Nikon f2 any tips?

Ordered a 200mm VR from MPB today after a long old search.:woot:

Used to shoot Canon and loved the stubby 200mm f1.8.

Finances on the up means I can afford the Nikon version.

Any tips from users out there compared with Canon.

I will shoot with a monopod on a D700, will this work ok with the VR?

Arrived today, wow I'm so impressed, what resolution!!!!

I have explained to my wife that the D700 hardly does it justice and I will need the D3x to achieve this...........:naughty:

What's my chances???:D

:lol: Slim.
For the price of the D3X, you'd be better off saying as the 200mm F2 is such a good lens, you'll need to upgrade the rest of your lenses so they're all the same cop. :)

I can picture Tomas going green with envy as I type - two of his favourite 'togs use the 200 f/2 :lol:

If it's any consolation the event I was to try it out at on Saturday is cancelled......anyone want to own up?

Just hope I can do it justice......

got a wedding practice to try for in a couple of weeks and another couple of equestrian events....will keep you posted!

Chances of what, ever having sex again, pretty slim if you order a D3x :D
