@Marc Adamson
started a thread about looking for mini low profile ball heads. https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/low-profile-ball-head.710160/#post-8782909

As I had a prospective need for one that actually worked satisfactorily I had a bit of a web search to see what was available.
Most turned out to be made by Small Rig and sold under various names..
However I came across a slightly different one sold by Andoer.
It had the same sort of ball clamping as the SmallRig one but had a second lower screw for setting the basic tension.

While It is certainly capable of holding my X T30 solidly enough, it is not something that I would use on a tripod except in dire emergency.
However in the more fluid situation of use on a walking pole- monopod, or chest pod, it seems to be just the ticket.
I have set the Tension screw tight enough to hold my camera with out flopping but still able to move when wanted.
Tightening the min screw locks it solid.
I bought it on Ebay for the silly price of £5.08 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Andoer-M...gree-Swivel-for-DSLR-Camera-H8X2/233667688262. which is far lower than most sellers
It replaces my previous mini Slik Ball (SBH-100 which is more than twice the size and weight but hold the Ball no firmer.

The extension tube in the image screws directly on to the top of my old Brasher hill master walking pole. to give an eyelevel view.
All in all I am well pleased with it as it moves far smoother and locks more solidly than any of my other mini ball heads.
And at the price it was not really a gamble at all.
The Slik was shown for a size comparison.

It certainly helps with my horrible age related tremor.
