Critique Foxfield Light Railway B&W added

Had a trip to the Foxfield Light railway in Staffordshire on Monday, its only a small place but some quite interesting bits.
I have been trying some different things over the last Month to try and improve my compositions.
all comments and critique welcome.

Nice textures and detail in No.2&3. What about trying B/W on No.1?

Thanks for the comment. Will give the B&W a go. I also wondered about cropping that pic almost square removing most of the top.

I love the abstract nature of number 2.

Number looks like it might be leaning but as its an abandoned carriage it might well be leaning.

the carriage is in a really bad way it may be leaning but it may not either.


I would have loved to get a bit closer but had the family with me and didn't fancy dragging them up the lines as the train only stopped here for a few mins. its a place to go back to as the railway was originally from a coal mine and the line drops quite steep just out of view, but at this time you have to walk the rails to get to the old mine.

No 2 is a nice shot, though Im not a fan of the B&W conversion on the 1st... I think B&W could work, you just need to have a play with the levels. Too much detail has been lost in the trees for my liking...
