Im not sure where this should go so please move if im in the wrong place.

As part of my degree we have to arrange a exhibition, there are 11 of us and 3 of us are arranging it (part of one of our modules)

im starting to look out for frames, i need black plain frames then they will have mounts made for them.

but i will be looking for about 50-60 of various sizes, does anyone know of a place that could supply these at a decent price?

i have found fastframes.co.uk but wondered if you knew any other places, all the local framers seem to want quite a chunk of cash.

thanks

This lot do a large selection.... But I have never used them, I have just had them recommended to me.

I’ve used them. They were total junk. Advertised as hand made I spent just over £150 on 6 frames. Every single one had bashed in corners and chipped veneer despite having perfectly undamaged packaging. They had obviously been manufactured like that. In their defence I emailed them photos of the damage and they gave a full refund without question and told me not to bother sending them back as it wasn’t worth the postage.

Andy.

Cheers for that, that's them off my Bookmark list.

I've a few ikea frames... Have to say the glass can be easily cracked and the little metal things you push down to secure the back to the frame aren't to good either.

Quality framing isn't cheap, and for an exhibition you really want a consistenet look. I doubt Ikea will be able to provide that in a variety of sizes.
