Yes
don't know if anyone can help.

i'm after some kind of freeware which i can use to draw room layouts to specific measurements and also to draw 3d shapes.

I need it to create room visualisations for the tiles i sell, then i can email / fax them to the factory in Portugal to be manufactured.

The shapes i need to draw are pretty basic shapes - mainly 'L' shaped tiles to create pool edgings and go round corners - but i'm just sick of drawing them out by hand!!

Any help would be appreciated - i have googled but i'd prefer a decent recommendation rather than a bagful of spyware attached to a download!

Google Sketchup might fit the bill.

what a guy! i knew i'd get results on TP! Just wish i'd asked the question years ago :bonk:

thanks for that... downloading as we speak / type

There's not too much of a learning curve to it either. Best thing you can do is watch a few tutorials on youtube to teach you the basics and you'll be able to piece together a room within an hour.

Incidentally, this is my 1000th post! :D

Highly recommend sketchup too, been using it for years and I find it much easier and quicker to get 2d/3d knockups than any other package I've tried :)

Yeah, I think sketch-up will do what you want. I use auto cad everyday and it's way too complicated for someone to start doodling with..
