Free iWeb Hosting?

Hi,

I noticed a thread on here the other week mentioning about websites created using Apple's built in App called iWeb. I have managed to create my own webpage which I will used as an advertisement for my camera club, however after trying to host it on 000.webhost.com and then finding out that the I was getting Parse errors and I was told I would have to edit my page source and HTML scripting in order to get the site working, I decided that would be too much hassle and probably not work after doing so not to mention I don't think it's possible to do uisng iWeb, so I'm now looking for somewhere that supply's free hosting that can support iWeb's template style pages. I have also tried webs.com without much luck.

Any idea's where to look?

I am sure any webhost can host the website you created... Have you export the website using "publish site to folder"

Should be fine, there's nothing spectacularly complex in the iWeb sites.

I used to host mine on my own IIS server at the end of my cable modem, until I switched to using MobileMe. I still use my IIS server as the pre stage testing / backup site, and private gallery host.

The IIS version is esentially what you'd get with a free host, without all the ads.

you could try another free service but your site should just work, did you just FTP all the files for your site up to the host, or did you need to use their upload tool? It may be they've tried injecting ad code, or moved files around which would affect the site.

You could also take a look at some of the cheap hosting offerings starting around a couple of quid a month.

Post a link up of the free hosted site, and some of us could poke around and see if we can spot the problem...

Hi Yes I tried this and went through typing in all the relevent server info etc and It confirmed that the site was now published-however upon checking it became apparent that there was several parse errors for some unknown reason which later turns out to be iWeb/hosting related.
