As anyone got a Manfrotto 679B monopod? only PhotoPlus (canon mag) are giving one away if I sign up for a years subscription, don't realy think I can go wrong as it works out less than buying the mag every month.
 
I got one free with a 3 month sub to another mag just a few months ago. It hasnt seen a lot of use but it seems a sturdy bit of kit. I married mine to a Manfrotto 234RC monopod tilt head with QR and it works just fine. Photoplus seems a good mag so you cant really got wrong.
 
Any chance of a link to this offer on-line? The 'Myfavouritemagazine' site is listing a bag as the subscription offer??

i also have this and its strong. doesn't come with head though but camera can attach direct to monopod without head present.
 
it's in this months mag (October) don't think its on web page yet. you can phone for details and to order 0844 848 2852
 
It says the subs are £44, and the monopod is £34 new so the mag is costing £10 for 12 copies.

Is that correct?
 
i know a magazine seller who sells back issues of magazines on the local market, and so what i do is subscribe for the gifts, and then sell the magazines to the bloke and i end up having about the same as the subsription yet i got the free gift.

That was the last months offer, don't think the web page as been updated, cost of monthly mag is £3.99 (£47.88 a year) from shop... cost via subscription is £10.99 a month (£43.96 a year)

When I first started, early this year I purchased several diferent mag, but now Photo plus is the only one I buy every month, so even without the monopod its a saving for me.
