Hey people.

Got a problem. Is there a free album that can store Raw files? Cause my adobe 3.2 Album starter does not support them and its a little tricky looking through my photos.

Was just wondering if there were any good free ones out there? Or i am willing to pay for one if there is not.

Thanks

Nick

I use FastStone (PC only). It is small, fast, easy to use and has some very nice features, such as being able to compare up to 4 images side by side on the screen.

Do these tools get updated as new cameras are released. Its really annoying how Adobe stop supporting new cameras on older versions of Elements.

Do you mean something just to store and view the photos?

You should have Canon Zoombrowser EX with you camera. You can store, transfer and view (at full res) all the files, including raws with this, and is actually pretty good.

Indeed - but if they are compatible some of these smaller programs might be of interest for my netbook. I used to have PSE4 on a netbook just to have a look at RAW files away from home but the RAW software is no longer updated. Zoombrowser doesn't run very well on my netbook (which is quite old).

Faststone seems to be updated pretty regularly - RAW library last updated 14 Jan 2011. Why not try it out? It is a small download and has a small footprint, and will even run on Win98. It has a lot of handy features and I always use it for my first evaluation and sorting.
