Setting: Canon 100mm Macro, f11, iso200, 1/200th, with either the EP12 or EP25 tubes + ring flash
 
Thanks Chris, yes I'm still getting to grips with the settings on the ring flash
 
Thanks Paul, I think I'm beginning to understand how the flash works using ETTL, the first shot of the moth was in bright sunlight so I guess it used less power to the flash, the Froghopper was under dark trees in a forest, so I guess it used more power on the flash... I'd best get to reading thhe distruction manual for how to set it to manual...
