From a 500D to a 70D/7D? Advice?

Hello.

I bought my first dSLR, (2nd hand) 500D and Sigma 17-50 2.8 from these very forums in 2010.

I'm now keen to improve the clarity and IQ of my photos, as well as get some more AF points.

I'd love to go full frame but funds don't allow (unless I go for an old camera), and as I have a Sigma lens for a crop body camera anyway, a 7D and 70D is looking likely.

I'm a hobbyist, and photograph cars (non moving), family, food, tech.

Any advice? Will I see an improvement in general photo quality too?

I would think you would get better results by putting your money into some expensive glass changing body wont give you much more detail
