Hi All

looking for some help please....
I have recently bought a tablet (link to it below) and i have a Canon 500D.
I would like to be able to view my photos on there straight from my camera on jobs because its always hard to see them properly on the 3" camera screen.
When i have a break (ie on a wedding day when every one is eating) i thought it would be a good idea to go through the photos i have already taken and get rid of any scrap ones to save me the job when i get home.
Does anyone know if this is possible and how might i do it?

This is the tablet i have - it is the same as the Samsung incase that helps:

i dont know if andriod has a canon app so i dont know if dpp would run on it you could see if they have some form of camera raw import app and try that

I did download a Canon RAW app which is suppose to be able to read raw files but when i plugged the camera in via usb nothing happened!!

The tablet has a Mini HDMI slot and so does my camera - would this work?
Also it has a Micro usb - i thought about a SD Card reader with Micro usb - would this work if you can get them?

USB PTP cable, card reader and Rawdroid will get you up and running (depends on the tablet - can't see your link).

Works on my Nexus. Total cost was like a tenner.

+1 or Nexus Media Importer that I use and is a fantastic app but you must have the additional USB cable as well. As far as I am aware there is no tablet (including oh great and worshipfull Apple) below a Windows Embedded type unit that can act as a full USB host. The below works great with my Nexus7.

have you thought about the Eye-Fi Card or similar. It uses wifi to direct connect between camera and tablet so no need for an internet connection. Its not fast but it works constantly. I use it on my Nikon to S3 phone. You need the Eye-Fi x2 pro for raw file transfer. They are class 6 (8gb) or 10 (16gb).
