Frosty Teasel

I snapped this teasel whilst out on a very cold day a couple of weeks back.

I entered it into a photo comp on another forum (not a photography one) and won under the theme 'seasonal'.

That's really nice, the little bits of ice are so nice and crisp and good use of DOF. I like it a lot, it just about sums up a cold and frosty morning.

Lovely compositon and very nice bokeh. The colours are really nice as well and the frost adds that little bit of extra detail.

Something I'll criticise myself for is the little bit of frost at the bottom next to the stalk, I wish I'd cloned or cropped it out, as it's a little distracting.

I used my Canon EF-S 55-250mm. Great lens for the price.
