Fuji finepix HS50 Opinions

Okay,so some friends of mine asked me what I thought of the HS50-they want an easy to use cam with a tiltable screen and a good zoom, I know little about these type of cameras (is this a bridge cam?)
so thought I'd ask on here!
Are there any alternative that people would recommend?
Its on Amazon for £274 at the moment which is about what they want to spend!

It is very nice for a bridge camera. Had one but preferred the Canon sx50 at the time (replaced by the sx60) now. The Canon had better image quality IMO.

wife has the HS30exr ( a slightly shorter 30x zoom and the screen is a tilt screen rather than fully articulated ). shes actually got it up for sale here in the classies because she recently started wearing glasses and cant get on with the EVF.
great little camera, tons of features shoots in raw, like most bridge cameras image quality is a little limited due to the sensor size but thats only because ive shot both aps-c and FF in the past so of course i will see a clear difference.

Must admit i have gone of the fuji bridge cameras,had the early 602 and 7000 liked them both,just bought this Nikon as a fill in and am pleased with it.
