Was looking at getting the mini 90 and just wondered if anyone uses theirs regularly?

Also, now long does the film usually last as I want to buy it in bulk as it's quite expensive? Just because I'd like to think I can use them for a while.

Also, does anybody have a link to the amazing toy story or disney related ones sold in the uk?

One last question, I keep finding the film but it says for mini 7 and other cameras, do I need to make sure it's the instax mini film for the 8 or 90 or will those ones fit as there's only the mini and the wide?

I had a look through ebay at the HK sellers and it seems to say 7,8 and 90 with a big list of others but I also saw one that said they would go out of date this December so I thought they might have a short life span but that's reassuring so thank you!

We've had one for over four months now and it's great, especially at parties, family gatherings, holidays, etc.

I can't really comment on how long film will last for you though, as that is obviously a very personal thing.

Edit: oh wait, do you mean last as in when it will expire? If so, I'll take a look at expiry dates of my own film packs when I get home.

Note that duty and VAT is not included in their prices, so if you are buying in bulk, then you will need to budget for this as well, as some items get 'caught' by HMRC, or alternatively you may be lucky.

Personally I prefer to support UK resellers, my local camera shop gives me loads of advice, and thats where my money goes!!!
 
I didn't even see they weren't in the uk! I'll hold off ordering from them. In Huddersfield, we don't have a camera shop anymore so I'd have to order online, I found a seller on eBay but it's in packs of 3 (the same) for £25 a time plus a month delivery from HK :/
 
I saw the newest (I think) 90 yesterday. The 'NEO CLASSIC'. I really want one but can't buy another toy just yet. Need to focus on needs, not wants. Gutted.

I don't know if it's the newest, I know it's a bit more advanced than the mini 8 and it has a dedicated battery instead of AA's. I thought it would be the same battery as my fuji xp200 but it's not :( I'd also like a fuji xt1 or xm1 as they're making some pretty cool stuff lately! But back on topic, I think it'll be the plain ones for a while and 1 or 2 special film packs, I'll have to take a second job to keep buying all the films I want haha...
 
Hmmm... just a couple of weeks ago there were far more options on eBay for Instax film. In fact, the seller I usually use no longer has any film at all when they previously had all sorts of different options!

I wonder what's happened.
 
I thought about getting one of these before in the past, but in the end I just bought a Canon Selphy CP800 with a carry case and battery pack. Whole set up cost less than £150 and came with a pack of 36 prints. A box of 108 prints can be had from Amazon for around £25-£30, so price wise works out much cheaper. I know it's not instant images from the camera, but it's close enough for me. Image quality from my NEX 6 plus the Selphy for me was much more important.

You bought a printer to take to parties/holidays/nights out?

A printer might be cheaper, but it's also completely devoid of the charm of instant photographs. I have plenty of cameras that will kill the Instax with regard to photo quality, but people simply do not respond to them in the same way.

Point taken sir :) I was merely mentioning another alternative, and I did mention that, for me, it works. So may not be for everyone.
 
I use a Instax 100, which takes the Wide film. It's a wonderful thing, and people love the results. Buying the film fresh, the expiry date is usually 2-3 years ahead.

Unlike most film products, you can't store it in the freezer to prolong the life (the chemical packet in the film won't like it). Refrigerating it is fine however!
 
I probably could use the printer but the instax looks a lot more fun, especially with the character film you can get, although Star Wars film and nemo film wouldn't go a miss! And thanks for the all the replies :)
