I've seen a lot of these for sale all of a sudden..
is there any reason why the S5 owners are jumping ship all at once?
i always heard that there was something special about the S5 & was wondering what people are changing to?

unless of course its just a coincidence..:)

Yeh I noticed this too, just when I'm considering selling mine! I'm going to Sony A7R. (I'm keeping my S5 too though, only selling my 2nd Infra Red converted one). The S5 is incredible as long as you can live without fine detail, it's perfect for portraiture/Wedding work where massive enlargements are not needed. I've done rather well with landscapes with mine, but the lack of resolution is rather restrictive.

I think at one time it was a highly sort after camera, that held it's price quite well, but now prices have crashed and everybody trying to get rid before they lose to much.

:)

One of them is/was mine. In my case I bought it fairly recently from ebay having noticed that they'd come down a lot in price and it's a camera I've always wanted to try. Lives up it's reputation, particularly for skin tones but I suppose they're quite expensive considering how cheaply one can pick up a D200 for nowadays. Still need to flog mine but clearly too much competition on here at the moment! Did I notice somebody selling two of them?

It's funny isn't it. When you see what that sensor can do with colours and tones, you wonder what everybody has been playing at for the last few years. It's true about the resolution being a little underwhelming these days though. Shame there isn't a modern equivalent.
