Fuji x100 Battery Problem

I had the battery on charge in total for about 9 hours and the light was still on green. In the end I got sick and took it off charge and stuck it in the camera, only to find that the camera wont even turn on now. It was working fine earlier and I know the battery is put in correct. The green light was flashing before I took it out but wasn't doing that before. So I presume that the battery instead of charging has actually been drained? so is the battery a dud or the charger? really not happy since I just got it today.
 
Ive just changed the fuse in the charger and plugged it back in to see if that makes a difference. If not Im going to ring the company I got it from but would you say that its the charger or the battery likely to be the cause? starting to really regret getting one now.

I imagine it'll be a battery fault as opposed to the charger but I'm not entirely sure. Certainly speak to the seller tomorrow and maybe buy a cheap battery on eBay in the meantime? Even if the battery isn't at fault it's always good to have 2.

Are you sure the battery's in the right way? Fuji have made it so for some bizarre reason the battery fits in the wrong way round; you want the side with the caution warning against the SD card. I kept putting it in the wrong way at first. Sorry if you already know this!
 
I tried both ways round just incase I had done it wrong. To be honest getting the camera cleaned me out so at the minute I wouldn't have the money to get another battery even if it were cheap. It was the only one available from the website so I don't know if they will have the stuff to exchange it with either. So wound up about it and until its sorted I don't have a camera to use.
 
I just tried the battery again with the new fuse in the charger and the camera turned on. So relieved its untrue, hopefully it will charge fully now and I can try it out tomorrow.
 
Nothing worse than things going wrong like this, especially with a new purchase. Did you buy new or used? Not that it should matter, if you bought from a company they really should have checked all before sending out.


Having to put a new fuse in the charger sounds dodgy.

Hopefully you have it sorted, put this behind you and enjoy the new cam ;)
 
Thanks, its still on charge at the minute Im just crossing my fingers the green light will eventually go out so I know the fuse was the problem. I bought it from MPB used.
 
I am forever taking stuff off charge before they're full. Are you maybe over-charging? if that's possible? is there a cut out? red light or something to show it's done?
 
The green light is on when these are charging and goes off when their done. It has actually just there went off meaning its charged. So happy about it, just glad I tried changing the fuse before I ended up send things back :D
