Fuji X100 for landscapes?

Yes
I've got a trip to Snowdonia and the North Wales Coast coming up for some landscapes and seascapes and I've recently treated myself to an X100F which is quickly becoming my go to camera....

I have this strange urge to just take the X100F , tripod and an ND filter with me, rather than the X-T20 and multiple lenses, as much as it'll limit me, I can also see it being quite liberating.

Has anyone else done a landscape trip with just an X100, of any version?

Go out more locally for a couple of hours and see if you feel you're missing out on shots because of the fixed lens.

I have done one tripod sunrise with the X100f only. And it was okay tbh It wasn't A7Riii and 35GM IQ and it wasn't as enjoyable if you tripod and manual focus etc for landscapes. But I certainly didn't dislike it. And I do want to do it more, the X100f and the Mini 2 drone would be a nice simple combination.

Don't even need to take the ND filter, just use the built in one. I've done a few trips with a X100 as my main camera and never regretted it.

I've done Isle of Mull (1 week) with just an X100 + tripod

Tuscany (1 week), X100, WCL and tripod

Numerous weekends away with just X100F

Never flet like I was mssing out on anything, I don't suffer from FOMO so it wouldn't bother me anyway. You can always stitch multiple image together in post. Unless I was definitely going to shoot any long exposures, I wouldn't bother with the tripod.

Thanks for the responses, looking back over previous photography trips, the majority of my photos are taken with the X-T20 with 18-55 lens almost constantly set at 18mm, so I don't think I'd be missing out on much...

The form factor, not carrying multiple lenses and being able to get away with a smaller tripod are all very appealing!

This is true, but I like 30 second+ long exposures, so I was thinking the 10 stop combined with the built in 3 stop would be even better!

To 7/8 answer your question (I hope), I'm perfectly happy to walk out in the land all day - not specifically with an X100, but certainly with a full-frame 35mm lens & that only. Or one of several other primes - but only one.

Simplicity can focus the mind & be self-fulfilling. Take a chance! We have too many choices. Life's confusing enough already.

Yeah should be ok, but I do recommend that wide angle 28mm equiv lens, it pretty much lives on my x100

I did briefly consider picking one up, but I have a second Fuji camera, an X-T20, and an 18-55mm so decided it wasn't worth it.
