Fuji X100 or hybrid for wedding work

I'm just wondering if anyone ever uses something like the sony or olympus hybrid (EVIL) cameras for wedding work.

Reason I ask is I use a D3 but have been thinking my assistant/second could use something like this during the ceremony seated with the guests near the front. Some churches don't let the wedding tog in the church during the ceremony (rare) but more commonly they will allow restricted access from the side. If someone were seated with the guests they could get a nice perspective on the ceremony and something a bit more discrete would be more suitable IMO.

I know some photographers use a Leica rangefinder to shoot an entire wedding, and was wondering about something a little more budget friendly. I can see other places during a wedding when this would be handy, and I also do a bit of street photography and thought I could use it for that purpose too.

I have also been reading about the much anticipated Fuji X100, fixed lens but the perfect poor mans Leica? (although its not cheap) and even has some features that I think Leica owners would like to see. I really like the idea of the X100 and would love to get my hands on one for a couple of days.

Any thoughts?

Wouldn't you run the risk of producing images that look (especially to the untrained eye) like they could have been shot by a guest?
I could see that an X100 or similar would be good for candids and the like but I'd have thought that for actual ceremony shots you'd want either the good framing that comes from being allowed to position yourself where you want (so not always possible) or the separation from background from a wide open tele?
 
I would still shoot with the D3 from my vantage point, my 2nd shooter would be using the X100. I'm also thinking of candids so not just the ceremony, just wondering if anyone has tried this.
 
You'd have to be very creative and mbile to use anything with that sort of wideangle fixed lens at a wedding cermony.

A GH1 or GH2 could work just about, but I wouldn't want to be running round with one of the compact type bodies. You won't have any fast glass options unless you go manual focus either.
 
There are ways of "hiding" the camera or making it less obvious. I am just being creative here, but I could bet this would really work well

1) Hide a couple cameras (prefocused UWA?) in a few places and remote trigger them
2) shoot from waist level using 60D or NEX 5 with LCD.
3) plant 'a guest' with NEX5 and Leica lens
