Fuji X100 with an old flash question

Morning,

I have a question regarding the Fuji X100 and older flashes.

I know it would be a manual job but I'm looking at getting an older Metz 45 or 60 hammer head flash (using wireless triggers).

My question is, would it be compatible with the X100's super fast flash sync?

I'm not sure how it would work.

Would I just have to factor in the power and reduce it accordingly?

The X100 uses a leaf shutter so its possible to sync any flash on up to 1/1000th although unofficially some people have successfully used up to 1/4000th.

So even if the flash has a sync speed of about 80th that's just really relevent to the camera?

It's the older Metz 45 CT or 60 CT I'm looking at.
