Conditions were excellent last night for aurora here in the Far North of Scotland so wanted to try out my new addition and was delighted to capture three in one in this image and and one of the elements was a first ever....the Noctilucent clouds

thanks Stewart....yea we are lucky....they were out again last night but work today so didn't venture out

Gary are you using a shutter release cable or was the standard 30s long enough? I never thought to try using my x100 for night sky's before, love the capture and was the aurora visible to the naked eye?

yea i was using a cable release.....yea they were very clear....if you open link the first five images were from the same evening except taken with my DSLR

Excellent capture. I wish we could see the aurora where we live
