Hi folks
I'm looking for a lapel mic for my X100v so I can do some videos of people talking to camera indoors. I'm really confused however about the type of mic and jack I need. The manual simply states a 2.5mm input, but is that TRS or TRRS? Can the mic be battery powered or not?
My dad was a TV cameraman and he gave me a really nice Sony lapel mic which is battery powered, with an XLR to 3.5mm jack cable which I plugged into a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter and got no audio through the X100V so this has made me worried!
Ideally I'd love someone who has bought a lapel mic (possibly could go with shotgun style too) for an x100v, confirmed it's working and sounding OK and send me a link! My budget is between £20-£40 ish (work are paying!)
Cheers
