I have ask my friend to join this site but she says she wouldn't know what to say and is worried she would come across as a pleb. Step in me as I'm used to it :)

She has a Fuji xe1 and says her photos are coming out pixelated. Today I had a play with the camera (never used it before) and took these 2 shots with it.

I looked and the camera was on large size image.

To me even when you crop in once the picture size is small.

Anyone got any ideas why the size might be coming out small?

How big are the original images in pixel sizes? If not 4896 on the long side then perhaps the image format is incorrect...1:1 mode will only give 3264 pixels x 3264. If it's less than that, then it sounds like large mode hasn't enabled, even if it tells you differently. In which case perhaps changing to small and then back to large will help? Or try raw + large (fine).

They are a 1000 across. I'm going to call her in a bit and tell her what you said (y)

Ok, problem solved. She was exporting them from lightroom that size. Changed it ages ago and never put it back
