Fuji XF1 Battery Life a bit mean

I'm enjoying my XF1 but I'm somewhat shocked at the battery life.

I've not really used it enough to gauge how many shots I can get with or without flash or what effect a few little vids have on battery life but early impressions suggest I need to keep an eye on the charge if I want to rely on it for a day out.

I know it's not going to manage the same number of shots as my DSLR but even compared to my little IXUS camera it seems to drain quickly.

Looks like £20 will get me a spare battery though so that may be the answer.

Anybody else find it a bit mean ?

As David's said, they do get better after running in. Not as many shots per charge as a DSLR but compare the sizes! The XF does eat them faster than the X-20, mainly because it has to show them on the rear screen which can be turned off on the X-20. I have a few spares that fit all the baby Xs I have so just keep an eye on the level and swap them over when they start fading.

Thanks guys

It's only had one full charge and discharge so I'll wait and see if it improves. then.

It will. Modern camera li ion batteries do need a few recharges before achieving their max runtime as mentioned above.

My battery didn't last long after first charge but it has improved now.....took the little XF to Venice 3 weeks ago and took the charger too. In the end didn't need the charger as the battery lasted until we got back. Think I managed about 300 shots with just one charge!

I'm the same as Martin - typically 300+ from a charge
