Fujifilm HS10 Bridge

Has anyone got or used one of these?

They had it on Gadget show earlier this week and it seemed to fair well. The reviews on the net seem good as well but I thought I would ask on here.

Now I know as a bridge camera it won't match up to a DSLR but for a Bridge is it a good un?

I have a Nikon D70 which has started giving ERR messages so I am now using my old Fuji S9600 bridge. I was thinking I could sell the lenses and parts of the Nikon and get the HS10

The main selling points are the 30x optical zoom, full hd video recording and being a solid unit so no risk of dust on the sensor.

I think a bridge suits my wants better than a DSLR so that is why I am looking at this option instead of another DSLR.

if you've used a DSLR though you'll notice the difference in quality, even more so at even slightly low light or over 400 ISO.
the sensor is so small compared to the DSLR there will be a difference and you might be disappointed.
one of the problems i find is that having the zoom ring on the lens and it being a long way end to end, you might find the overhang from the pop up flash getting in the way.
saying that, if you don't mind a drop in quality, you get a decent enough camera for £250

it has a lot of gadget for the money, my friend has one its ok iso 400 is about the same as the d300 at iso 1600, the af is abit slow, the macro is very good.
go try one first if you can, the hs20 is due soon.
