Full Moon

(y)

I love getting shots of the moon with fairly ordinary equipment. The full moon was last night, and there was a partial eclipse, but it was stormy, so no luck getting a shot.

If ever I got a good clean shot of the moon I would try this: https://www.photographingspace.com/find-the-secret-and-subtle-color-in-moon-photos/

I guess that when photographing a full moon the sun is obviously hitting it from directly in front. So this gives very flat light which isn't flattering when doing portraits and so I doubt does the moon many favours. Probably better to try a three-quarter or half-moon for better directional light

Nice article thx food for thought Can’t say I find his image of the moon very true to life though, but each to their own.
