Fulmars, Oystercatcher, Skylark, Eider, Terns

Here's a few more from around Sumburgh Head.. all with the Sigma 150-500. There had been a Honey Buzzard there earlier, scoffing on some Shag chicks but alas I missed that one Had to settle for some of the more usual residents instead...

1/ Some Fulmar Petrels.. The highlights are a bit blown unfortunately.

3/ Oystercatcher - very noisy, the bird that is

4/ Male Eider Duck

5/.. and a Skylark. Almost a 100% crop on this one as it was quite far off. I think it's doing a mating display?

Your no 2 - the fulmar's head - is a great picture. Pin sharp where it's needed and love the blurry foreground.
