G series Canon Firmware updates?

I picked up my G9 from Canon today after a repair and they told me that firmware upgrades were available for the G series,
I've looked at the Canon site but couldn't see them, are they mistaken?
I have a G9 on firmware 1.0.0.0

Looks like version 1.0.0 is all they ever made.

A quick search on google:

canon firmware update g9

has provided a couple of useful links. Firstly theres the unofficial firmwares from CHDK and on that site there is reference to semi official updates discussed on dpreview.

BTW - they all seem to ve a V1..... but with a different letter at the end!

Like BLZ said....Perhaps they meant the CHDK version which introduces extra functions on the G series cameras. The latest official version for the G9 seems to be version 1.00i, you can check out the official and CHDK firmware here http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/G9

Just FYI, I used the CHDK firware on my old G7 to "unlock" RAW capture, t'was very useful

Yes, I did find the CHDK code... thats not really an update though, its homebrew code to add some features.
