G12..cheap and nasty, no, expensive and nasty.

Compared to my G7 that is.

I had the same problem with a G11, the external build quality was imvho terrible so i sent it back.

thought i'd try again with a G12, fabulous camera but again the external build quality is imvho terrible so i've sent that back too.

material and surface texture are nasty rough plastic stuff and imvho fells like a cheap/expensive and nasty camera.

my G7 feels like a solid brick, no so the G12 it feels like a hollow flimsy plastic shell.

Oh but Canon had retained the external quality and solid feel of the G7 i'd have stuck with it, but now i've gone over to a G3.

Yep, it has a horrid feel compared to the g10 and previous. The entire back has been plastic since the G11.

I have a Fuji x10 on the way back from US with a friend after trying out at Jessops. Worth checking out.
