First time ive posted pics and my first rally with my 400d

For your first outting with a DSLR, id have to say youve done a great job. :)

All but the Mitsub show a decent amount of blur on the wheels so they dont look static, they are all nicely focussed and exposed...

The only critism i could offer is the composition is a little too DEAD centre, on some images it work, but most id tend to place the car to 1 side of the photo and leave room for it to travel into...

The reflection in the puddle in the first Photo is really drawing my eye and its a shame there isnt more of it in frame. And i really like the last, if you had a Circular Polariser you would have been able to take out most of the glare on the windscreen to be able to make out the driver/Co-Driver inside, which could really add to this kind of shot.
 
As mentioned on msn great job on your first rally with the dslr, the 70-200 works great at rallys.
 
yeah seen that puddle , unfortunatly there was a sponser media sign as you can see in the 2nd pic so that why most of the shots at that corner where tight and centred. The last is my personal favourite as the car was totaled just after i took that pic due to spactaters opposite me tosing a stone wall onto the road.

Will look into the polariser as ive noticed the glare in a few other of my shots that I havent posted on flickr.

Did you photograph the spectators for evidence ?That happened last year from watching a dvd,when water was put onto a dry corner deliberately sending cars off.How sick !
Unreal ,when car crews lives are being put at risk.:bang:
 
#2 stands out for me ,purely because it's a mark2 Escort and it's sideways ,great stuff,good effort with the rest (y)

Hope i'm as good as you on my first outing. Excellent shots, although I would have loved to see more of that puddle. Next time pay somebody to steal the sign!?
 
Pam and the rest of the RPM crew running after you would be good craic for nickin the signs.
Hope to try a few diff angles and stuff next time im out , but very happy with how most of the Galway pics turned out.
