Garden bird

Got my new camera and this was the first pic I took with it,
fuji s8000 18x zoom lens, impressive camera but the lens is 38.1mm so i cannot get any filters for it:bang:

any comments good or bad needed for me to improve cheers

The image has good colour, and sharpness is ok.
but I think the focus point is on some branch which looks to be near the same plain as the dunnock.
Has the fuji got selective focus point, if so select the middle this will stop it from locking onto any thing other than the subject.
