GAS - Thinking of swaping camera systems

Hi

I am currently shooting with the GFX 100s and Mitakon 65 plus pentax 645 glass.
However I am feeling that its a bit... heavy.

Picture wise I am loving it.
Also on a trip to Tokyo in Oct and was thinking of getting a camera or lens from there and use the tax back option....

However what camera?

My eye got caught on a Sigma BF, with L mount I could adapt M or L glass. Style looks nice but restrictive (no tilt lcd, no evf).
So I was thinking of a comparison to that. I like the M10r (but its too much). I aslo saw that Nikon do a ZR which could be interesting.

So my questions:
- does anyone have the Sigma BF or Nikon ZR ?
- did you get to compare them?
- is the restiction on the sigma still worth getting it?
- for the ZR, do you have some links to pics?
- Are there other brands I should consider and handle?

- The other thing is I really like hte rendering of hte gfx with mitakon... is there a comparitive lens with similar rendering?

I was in the store handling the bf and they had the sigma 35 f1.4 on it. Seemed pretty good. Although took the sales bloke some time to get the AF working again, someone had disabled it.

Its probably GAS, but if I can sell my camera and lenses that would open up some nice glass and a camera.

Do you shoot a lot? I usually find it waning the more I just use my existing gear. Not having enough time to shoot seems to fuel my hunt for buying more gear.

The Mitakon is a heavy lump of glass. I felt the same way as you do after spending a week in Malta with the GFX50S + GF45mm (a supersized X100), loved the photos, didn't like the weight (and the bulk)

In your case switching the the GF63mm would save a lot of weight/nulk, but although its lovely redering lens, its only a F2.8, so won't get you the bokeh of the Mitakon.

I couldn't live with no EVF so the BF was never on my radar.

I sold the GFX plus lenses and invested in a Leica Q3, leaving enough budget for a second system (ILC), I did give serious consideration to the Nikon ZF but in the end stayed with Fuji and the X-mount system.

Do I regret going GFX to Q3, the short answer is no, the lens is excellent and the camera handling/size is much more user friendly. I'm glad I owned a GFX and I do look back on the pictures and am still pleased with them.

Buying the Q3 though has been a bit of a trap, in that it showed up standard focal length lens rendering issues on the Fuji system, so I have ended up buying tanother Leica as well, but I still have a Fuji ssytem just with longer focal length lenses.

I had the 63... wasnt that impressed, af was slow and manual wasnt better. Quality of the pics were nice...
Also throwing in the nikon zr as a second body instead of the sigma bf. both look pretty good tho
I would return to leica but I dont think I can manage it at the moment (m10r) and its not saving weight on the camera, just the glass
At least the bf has a leica l mount so I could get m glass, plus m to l adapter and get some decent glass for the future hehehe

Just depends if you truly can live without an EVF, it's just about ok in sunlight unlike the BF which is unusable, you may want to wait a while as it's heavily rumoured Nikon are bringing out a ZR style body that's photo centric.

Trip to Japan, so unless they release and its a reasonable price i may be stuck with these choices...
Atm one possible person is interested in all my kit, but I havent pressured them to check how interested they are... (selling on marktplaatz nl)

Pictures look really nice btw... just looking now. 24-120 seems like nice glass too

Both, peaking is great and if you use Voigtlander lenses you still get the green eye confirmation box
