Gear addiction!

I am pushing the limits of self control and finding it quite rewarding. Have had my first camera, a Nikon D40, for over a year now and have bought a second hand 10-20mm and a 15 quid tripod as my only additional purchases. My aim is to get as good as I possibly can with the kit I have.....and try not to salivate too much at everyone elses gear description every flippin time they post (gary :)). I reckon I can hold out for at least another year or two!

Just bought a second hand SB 26, and got a set of PT 04 triggers on the way. That should feed the habbit for a day or two!

Buying my second & possibly 3rd lens today along with a new camera bag.

Help!

I`v spent approx, £5000 in 14 months, And i`m still a c--p photographer.:bang: So yes.

Oh yes definately fall into this category, I don't know what I enjoy most buying the gear or taking the pictures, I live in the hope that better gear will allow me to take one decent picture.

So what next 24-105, 70-200, 40D, 24-105, 70-200, 40D, 24-105, 70-200, 40D,24-105, 70-200, 40D ,24-105, 70-200, 40D

Oh I can't decide.

I don't 'think' I am, I just buy the lenses I know will do what I want from them and thats it, as a result I only have 4 lenses (although not cheap ones). I would like a second body though and a decent tripod!

I see it as supporting my local camera shop. My wife had to physically remove me from my local shop today after I nearly parted with over 100 quid on a new bag when I only bought my new bag a week ago :D She doesn't understand that I need a bag big enough for my E-420 with 55-200 and 14-42 and my ST605 with 3 lenses  What is a boy to do? :D

Apart from my initial investment perhaps seeming to an 'outsider' as appearing something of an addiction, I've not really been tempted too much by buying. Maybe it's because I quickly identified what I thought I'd need, or perhaps it's simply a result of the fact I'm getting old...

You took your wife into a camera shop? That's abuse :nono:, and besides - what's the point?

I already have 4 camera bodies now do I need that 5th I have my eye on.:nono::help:

I guess any photographic manafactures watching this thread are less concerned about the recession than they were before.:D

Another $400 spent yesterday & plant to spent a bit more today.

Please help me. Slash my tired.

i think every one is really, you always want better kit. just depends if you want to part with your cash for it. or how often you think you can :D

its a horrible addiction. I can either get a 70-200 f4 this month, but i really want a speedlite and i dont know if i can wait until christmas. Photography gear has taken my soul :runaway:

I'm just pulling your plunger mate. Its a rotten feeling watching the bank balance sink, until you have your shiny new toy that is :D

Doesn't help that I do all my online shopping drunk either.
