Get Creative.. TEXTURES? scripts or actions wanted.

For tech i have to take some portraits, so i had a quick p'shoot with my friend the other day. I'm stuck on how to make them look interesting...
They are a bit bland at the moment. I don't mean something crazy like putting a monkeys head on her body (although that would be funny!), just general editing! I have Topaz Adjust, which is pretty cool but i don't know what to do with it! (and it makes it look v noisy)
Or using gradient maps or whatever!

Anyone got any ideas?
Feel free to demonstrate!

You could try a bit of selective colour?

I haven't completely removed all background colour, as I liked it better this way.
