hi all, last night i wanted to go out with the camera to try and get a nice sunset landscape so i had dinner and looked out the window to find a full sky of cloud.
Thinking this would block a nice red sky i gave up with the plan.
8:50 came and the sky lit up,clouds parted and the sky was a deep red with pinks around the cloud line,by this time it was too late for me to get to the spot i had in mind.
next time i`m going no matter the weather;)

is there anyway of reading the cloud formation to see if there will be a good sunset or is just luck of the draw ??

thanks all,chris.

Hey, I'd crop the bottom of that WAY down so I only had the very top of the roof of the right hand house (above the piping), darken it so you can't see the tiles so much and 'pretend' it was the summit of some hill/mountain/whatever. I probably wouldn't post it for crit but if I liked the sky I'd be happy to mess about with it and see what I could do!

It's obviously frustrating for you, so having a bit of a play is not a bad thing?

yes gettin rid of blackness which dominates and detracts is a must...its unfortunate but with selective positioning you can make that blackness interesting..vegetation etc...not houses
