Getting a good Sigma 85 f1.4

Apparently the Sigma is better than the Canon 85L when you get a good copy. The price for this lens is £530 from the likes of Panamoz and then £680 from UK retailers.

Obviously, it's far easier to get a good copy from a UK supplier by testing the lens out and then swapping if you're not happy. Panamoz has a money back guarantee but the whole hassle of sending it back won't be great, and I'm sure they wouldn't want to entertain me if I want to swap it rather than get a refund.

I did think about buying second hand, but I guess you can never know 100% and they rarely come up.

What would you do? What's the chances of actually getting a good copy?
