Getting continuous shoot on the Canon EOS 600d to work - any advice?

Does anyone reading this know how to get the Canon EOS 600d continuous shooting to work?

The instruction book says use a button on the bottom right of the camera to the left of the set button (the set button is a circular button with four other buttons to the left, right, top and bottom of it).

When I press that button to the left of the set button as the instruction book advises I still cannot find any section in the menu (on the LCD monitor) where I can set the camera to continuous shoot.

Just press the left cross key button that has little timer near it.....When you say the drive mode screen doesn't show when you press the left button, what does ???????

Thank you for your reply, k4stn.

I press the menu button top left of the back of the camera and then I press the left button on the cross keys at the bottom right of the camera. The LCD monitor then shows the various lists with the ten coloured boxes at the top (red, blue, yellow and green).

I cannot find the section titled drive mode where continuous shooting is set.

Which of the ten coloured boxes at the top of the menu on the LCD monitor do I pick and what section in the list below it?

Thank you, Dave1.

That is what is in the instruction book I have. When I follow those instructions the LCD monitor then shows the various menu lists with the ten coloured boxes at the top (red, blue, yellow and green).

I cannot find the section titled drive mode where continuous shooting is set.

I have just pressed the live view button on the top right on the back of the camera so the view on the LCD Monitor goes and a page appears instead on the LCD Monitor screen which has a large M in the top left corner. I then pressed the left cross key on the bottom right of the camera and the drive mode page appears on the LCD Monitor including the section where continuous shooting is set. I think the instruction book is trying to say do it that way. I did not know I had to go out of live view to the page with the big M in the top left corner to do this.

Do not press the MENU button just press the left arrow key to the left of SET!

You can't be in auto or some other modes either

As Pinnacle says, don't push buttons other than the ones the instructions tell you to.

From the normal picture taking screen press the button and the drive modes pop up.
