I'm hoping for some advice. I'm conscious of the fact that a lot of the photography I've done in the past does not feature people and that's something I want to fix as well as providing an initiative to get my knowledge of lighting refined.
But, when it comes to finding models I've got no idea what to do or how to go about doing it. For example if I find a model do they expect to get paid? If I'm shooting for myself I'll not be making any money and so won't have anything to pay with. Things like that.
I really want to start photographing people in the environments I photography the most; rural places, abandoned and derelict environments with interesting light.
Then there is the question of styling. Do models bring their own clothes depending on what I'm looking for in the shoot? Or should I be hiring or finding stylists to provide all that.
Not sure where to start. I have friends who volunteer for it, but they're not out and out aspiring models.
