Hi, i'm after a bit of advice please ,the Graphic card on my desktop has failed me, the little fan doesn't work properly anymore .I'd like to upgrade if i can ,my desktop is the Acer X3200 Quadcore .Was in at maplin tonight and the guy mentioned pipe cooling rather than fan .

Where would i get the best deal on a graphics card online .

Ta for looking

scan.co.uk
ebuyer.co.uk
overclockers.co.uk

Wouldnt worry about water cooling unless you are into extreme games, its not worth the hassle.

did it do what you wanted? If it did then just get the same, or similar, again, if you still can :)

If what you use your computer for is just browsing etc, then yes you could stick with the same, but graphics cards have moved a long way and are getting cheaper.
Of course their is no point having the best card in the world if all you do is use internet explorer, but if you use Photoshop or lightroom, a slightly better card may benefit you.

The card you listed seems pretty much the same sort of spec as the one you have, I dont think you's see a massive difference, but it would do the job.If you want something faster, look for a 1GB card or 1024mb or more memory.

The comp's just about 1 yr and 2 months old hat now eh? :D

My problem is the lack of knowledge and knowing what other cards are similar to the one that was fitted :gag:
