Hi,

Does anyone know if the GGS glass screen protector will work with touch screens? I use it with my Nikon D7000 and I love it. A friend has asked me if they affect/stop the touch screen functionality on his Panasonic Lumix TZ30 but I m not really sure?

Any advise / help would be really appreciated?

Thanks

It does seem that GGS glass on some cameras,do allow the touch screen to still work, not to sure about the D7000 :)

I already have it on my D7000 which isn t a touch screen camera. I was wondering if the touch screen on the Lumix TZ30 will still work fine if the GGS glass was stuck to it?

Thanks

Its not the most resposive of touch screen on the TZ30,i would say if you put an ggs glass on it should work, but will need some firm tapping of the screen :)

I doubt that touch screen would work with the GGS glass screen protector. It isnt in contact with the screen but sits slightly above it, so I guess there will be no direct touching passed through to the original screen. You will need a film type protector that actual affixes to the screen.

Ok I didn't know that and interesting. I guess I will advice him not to use the GGS glass protector then unless he won't mind not using the touch screen. Many thanks

I use a GGS glass protector on my GF2 and touchscreen doesn't work

I just got a Canon 60D for the wife and in the manual it states that no screen protectors should be applied or it may affect the touchscreen operation (words to that effect anyway). With the film type protector you might get away with it, but it depends if it cuts the capacitive touch between finger and screen.
