I am hoping to make a long weekend of a trip to Gigrin Farm and would welcome any recommendations for places to stay in the area.

Hotels, pubs with rooms or B&B's...........where did you stay?

TIA :)

There is a hotel at the entrance to Gigrin: http://www.brynafoncountryhouse.co.uk

And a B&B on site: https://www.rhayader.com/gigrin.html

I am afraid I haven't stayed at either as I am close enough to day run.

Thanks for the pointers and heads up about those places.

Hopefully a few TP members have stayed in the area??? I will need to get sorted in the next couple of weeks and get booked. At this stage I am thinking March.......what's Gigrin like during that month weather wise and backdrop wise for the lower level angles?

TIA :)

They have a camp site so you pay one entry for all your stay

Yes, I saw they offer camping........but the last time I slept under canvas of that sort was decades ago and I have no wish to start again

They definitely have a B&B as well as camping - see the link above. I have only used the tower hide so I don't know about the backdrop to the new low level hide, but there is an area of rough, dead grass behind where they feed which makes a nice background.
