Hi all

I'm looking at buying a new tripod as my £50 jobby has finally fell to bits due to a few knocks.

So this time I want to buy something that is not only stronger but also versatile.

I have looked at quite a few now, but the best option is the Giotto MTL8361B tripod. It's light as made from carbon fibre and has a centre column that can move 180 degrees.

Question is are Giottos any good? Or even better has anyone got a MTL8361B tripod?

Any other Tripod ideas welcome, i need it to be light, strong, with adjustable leg spread and up to £200 with a head.

i've been looking at Giotto's and have been impressed, they look well put together and they have been getting some good reviews in the photo magazines. The only place i've found review highlights is on their website - www.giottos-tripods.co.uk, theres also some user reviews on the Warehouse Express site .

Cheers for that.

Just checked on warehouse express website and 3 reviews for that tripod all with 5 out of 5. So can't be bad. It might be the one.....

I have one of the non carbon fibre ones with 3 way pan and tilt head.

I think it is great, well built and fairly sturdy and not to heavy as to make it problem carrying it for a while.
