Hi all, in February I purchased a new tripod to replace my 15 year old Slik model. I went for a Giottos MTl8361B Carbon Fibre model and generally am really pleased with it. Rock steady (even under many second exposures in windy conditions), however I do have one problem.
The legs are really stiff to pull out. I don't mean to extend their length, that's fine, I mean when the tripod is folded away, and you go to pull the legs out (i.e. pivot outwards), it's really stiff and actually takes two hands to do. There is a bolt set holding the legs on at the tripod head but I didn't want to mess in case I disturbed something.
Anyone know if these legs are adjustable in their tension ? Obviously I don't want them to flop out when the tripod is being carried, but then again, could do with them being easier to set up ?
