girlie bags

Funnily enough I've been mulling over doing a line of bags, I've got a pal who imports handbags so it wouldn't be too difficult to get a range produced if the demand was there....

I'll be completely honest Graham, I can't really have a backpack cause I couldn't carry it myself and I love girlie bags, this is the bag that I have at the moment, and well, it's not girlie! I've started just taking my camera bag out with me instead of a handbag as well, but not just that, that partuicular bag is a tight squeeze to get my lenses, flash, camera, cloth, cables, filters etc in and I think it's time to upgrade soon.

If I knew how to change a bag to a camera bag, I'd do that TBH.

Some of the Crumpler bags can be girlie linky

Crumplers range of shoulder bags aren't "girlie" as such, but they do look like satchels and they can take full camera stuff, odds and sods and a laptop. Jessops sell them if you want to have a look at them in real life.

Is there such a thing as a girlie camera bag?

Not a backpack though or one that is similar to a caomputer bag/satchel.

Hi Nattalie,

Have a look at at a US company called Janine King Designs. I recently ordered one via this website - janinekingdesigns.etsy.com

These are not very big, but they are girly! My friend has a 400D, a 18-55 kit lens and there is room for a zoom lens as well. Looks like a handbag so no worries about security when out and about.

Only thing to be aware of is UK customs; cost an extra £16 on top of the $89.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Tracey

Hey Natalie, not sure if this is up your street but what about customising one? I hate carrying camera bags as they are such a pain to open when I need a spontaneous shot plus I hate meeting up with friends with a bulky one. So I have got an old army bag (Im not really girlie!) and added extra padding and sewn some cushioned areas (with the padding from my camera bags).

Just a thought!:)

Mrs Frac just got a corking bag from Matalan for a fiver,it is ideal as a ladies camera bag.She is out at the moment, but i`ll get details off her when,or if,she returns..........:D

I bought a couple of nice bags from TK Maxx - you know the large hand bag style ones. I then bought a foam camping mat, and using duct tape and super glue made cases for the lenses and one for the camera.

I used the duct tape to keep the sides of the cases smooth, rather than bare foam. It did cross my mind to cover them in some soft fleece or something, but that involves sewing which I do my best to avoid at all costs!

This way I have cases to fit the lenses which can be used in any bag!

I'd need to get a bit of a focus group going and find out exactly what is required design/size-wise.

A scented candle holder would be a handy addition and maybe a mirror too

Sorry:shake:

Ekkk just bought Acme bag because of this thread, was not even planning a new bag .. but its, cute and orange ... cheers lol
