Yes
Hi, there's a gitzo tripod in my local charity shop, it's quite small and compact from what I can make out is made from aluminium seems quite old and vintage but in good condition apart from a fairly naff ball head on it which seems to be broke!
Now I don't no much about tripods and was wandering if its worth purchasing, they want £10 pound for it but may get it cheaper as the ball head is broke!
Also would I be able to get a different head to fit it!

Should be of decent build quality and see if you can unscrew the head

Worth a tenner I would have thought

Yes I can unscrew the head was just unsure if the thread would be the same if it is old!!

Thought i'd add a couple of pics! Got it for £8 which is cheap even if it is rubbish, the only problem i have is the head i was going to put on it only has a female fitting on it and as you can see from the pics the tripod has a female fitting which means the head needs a male fitting!! i spose i could just put a bit of threaded bar in the top of the tripod to sort this or can you buy some sort of converter!!

You'll want a male to male adaptor, usually 3/8ths. Cracking buy at that money, I'd give you 100% profit on it!

Thanks mark for info! Any idea where I may purchase one of these?
