I took trip up to Glasgow the other day with my new D700 and the 16-35. I took a few images of the interior of the Cathedral. I really liked this one for the fact that the high ISO quality of the D700 and the VR of the 16-35 meant that a tripod wasn't required.

Nice. I've never actually made it into Glasgow Cathedral.

The shots in St Giles were my first outing with my D700 the other week as well. The iso performance was actually better than I'd been expecting. It's just so good to finally have the ultra wide that I bought years ago act as such now. The VR and the extra mm on your 16-35 could be quite handy though.

The VR is really handy to have as I was regularly shooting down as low as 1/20th of a second without camera shake.
