I've been having a much needed sort out of images.

Here are a few taken at Glen Coe.

C&C welcome as I'm there a lot.

Buachaille Etive Mor & River Coupall. Stereotype shot but a great location all the same. Unfortunately I didn't have a wide lens with me to photograph the peak with the waterfall as the foreground so I moved slightly upstream.

Great shots...
#1 is a good classic
#2 I would have tried to get the trees with a lighter b/g to show them better.
#4 an fantastic mono.

Fantastic set..you have captured the scenes nicely. Especially like the Two trees photo...something about the colour tone that I like.

Love them all (again) but the b&w one is absolutely stunning. The detail is so fine you can almost walk into the image, wonderful.

Jammy s*d. I will (hopefully) retire to Scotland, if the wife wants to come as well I don't mind. :D

Every time i see shots of scotland i know i need to go back!

number 1 is a classic - but i prefer that shot when it's a little less symmetrical. Have the river more to the right leading your eyes over to the munro on the top left. or vice versa. Still a nice photo though - lovely detail and colour.

2 is lovely, 3 doesn't do too much but 4 is a fantastic conversion and has great puch to it.

Lovely set that as ever, makes me want to rent a cottage in Glencoe again!

definately the B&W, stunning detail and contrast, others are great too, like the two trees, adds a strange perspective (y)

very well captured images, and a superb subject, 1 & 4 I like best but all good

That 4th one is definately one for the wall (y)

From a recent holiday in Scotland, I get the impression that, as a photographer, it may not be necessary to travel anywhere else as the western highlands can serve up a constantly changing set of views.
I was astounded by the views as I drove through Glen Coe this summer, but the autumn colours and the snow on the hill tops just make it look magical.
I'm off to look for winter breaks up there...

Edit - I really like them all. I'm not sure I made that clear initially :)

Nice 'classic' shot of the Buachaille. I think it would have been better with a bit more space round it though. The second one is good too. My only niggle is the foreground trees could have been slightly lighter to stand out more from the hills behind.

I like them all, must start getting into landscape togging theres so many good views around and not that far away :D
